No more industrial action…for now

Disgruntled workers at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) will not be staging any further industrial action for the time being.

That’s the order from the National Council of the National Union of Public Workers following talks this evening.

The National Council has ordered its negotiators to await the intervention of Labour Minister Dr Esther Byer-Suckoo who will mediate talks between the two sides on Monday.

The NUPW and management at the GAIA are deadlocked on a wage increase for airport workers.
