The Barbados Tridents are through to the playoff round in this year Caribbean Premier League.
Playing at Kensington Oval in front of their home fans, the Tridents led by Captain Jason Holder defeated the St Lucia Zouks by 24 runs to book a spot in the next round of the tournament.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Tridents, in a must-win game, posted 141-6 in their 20 overs.
Opener Johnson Charles topscored with 47 runs, while all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan (22), JP Duminy (13) and Justin Greaves (27) were the only other batsmen to reach double figures.
Left-arm medium pacer Krishmar Santokie 2-25, Hardus Vilijoen 2-26 and Fawad Ahmed 1-23 led the attack for the Zouks.
In reply, the Zouks were restricted to 117 in 18.4 overs. Colin Ingram topscored with 25. Right-arm leg-spinner Hayden Walsh Jr was the main destroyer for the Tridents snatching four wickets for 26 runs, while Harry Gurney snared three for 17.
